Apple says CNN Report of Steve Jobs Heart Attack "Not True"
Posted 10/03/2008 at 11:36:10am | by Roberto Baldwin

appleCNN's user generated news site, iReport, reported that Steve Jobs was rushed to a local ER following a major heart attack.

Apple Spokesman Steve Dowling told Rueters, "It is not true."

CNN has since removed the post from their iReport site. The iReport site has a disclaimer for just such an occasion: "CNN makes no guarantees about the content or the coverage on iReport.com."

Speculation about Steve Jobs and an accidental posting of his obituary by Bloomberg lead Jobs to joke about his death at last month's "Let's Rock" event.

Steve Jobs underwent a successful surgery to remove rare type of pancreatic cancer in July 2004. Jobs' thin appearance has caused concern among investors in recent months.

In related news, we've recieved a tip from an Mac|Life reader:

"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Steve Jobs pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious."

avatarActually

being severely underweight is just as bad as being grossly overweight. Anorexics routinely die from heart attacks and organ failure. That's how Karen Carpenter died . . .
