Whenever I’m composing a new message in Mail and I add an attachment, it puts the attachment right into the middle of the text that I’m typing. How can I force the attachment to go to the end of the message?

Mail will always try to display your attachments directly in your message wherever the cursor is currently blinking, making it difficult to prevent your attachments from cluttering up the text you’re typing.

In Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, a new feature forces Mail to insert your attachments at the end of your text. You can turn this feature on by choosing Edit > Attachments > Always Insert Attachments At End Of Message.
