Leopard worth $240 million in Q4: One analyst thinks that Leopard will bring Apple as much as $240 million for the fourth quarter 2007. That's a whole lotta software being sold.

 

Fake Steve Jobs to Tour: Dan Lyons, the man behind the The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs is going on tour to promote his book, oPtion$: The Secret Life of Steve Jobs. Lyons plans to tour bookstores in San Francisco starting on November 1.

 

Bungie, Microsoft parts ways (sorta): Bungie, the makers of Halo and the Mac classic Marathon, has decided to become an independent company again, but Bungie's not totally leaving the Microsoft family. Microsoft will retain a equity interest in Bungie. Does this mean we could see Bungie make a return to to Mac? It'd be nice, but we doubt it. Harold Ryan of Bungie has said that its primary focus will be for "Microsoft platforms."

 

Apple working on iPhone SDK: Rumor has it that Apple is working on a software development kit for third-party apps. Developers who want to use the SDK will have to agree to a confidentiality agreement.

 

Apple sued over iPhone bricking: A California man has filed suit against Apple, alleging that Apple has violated the state's antitrust law. The suit says that Apple is in violation of the Cartwright Act.

 

New iPhone ads: Apple has released a new series of iPhone ads that feature man-on-the-street interviews. The ads are a lot like Apple's Switch ads from a few years ago.
