I’ve done everything to install Leopard on my iMac, but now I can’t get past the username and password screen at the end of installation. It won’t accept my password. I’ve tried six times so far, and every failure forces me to reinstall Tiger.
If you originally created your password way back in the Mac OS 10.2.x days, and your password is either blank or contains more than eight characters, you may not be able to login after installing Leopard. I got time machine and OSX 10.5 and set up time machine and backed up my macbook to it before i upgraded from 10.4. The problem now is that when i try to access airport utility it says [You can't open the application "AirPort Utility" because it is not supported on this architecture.]
I have looked all over the apple site and can't find anything useful. I took a screen shot but i see that i cant post it here.

I found what i needed to correct the problem. Just had to download AirPort Admin Utility from the apple website. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/airportadminutilityforgraphiteandsnow425.html

Actually, you need to manually install, and therefore overwrite, the AirPort Utility that Leopard put in place when you upgraded the OS. For some strange reason, the one that's installed as a part of Leopard doesn't like going on to older Macs (ie. MacBook 2nd Gen).
