Apple Falls Short of 1000 Rentals, Swiss Ready for iPhone and Nike + iPod Coming to a Gym Near You

Dude, where's my rentals?: Steve told us to expect 1000 iTunes movie rentals by the end of February. He also said we would have the iPhone SDK in that time frame. Are the studios to blame for the lack of rentals or should Apple start checking iCal more thoroughly before making commitments.

Analysts predict 3G iPhone, days to be warmer during summer: Citigroup analyst, Richard Gardner has returned from Taiwan with good news. 3G iPhones should appear during the next quarter. This brings the analysts predictions of a 3G iPhone to about 4356.
GarageBand and Aperture updated: Apple updated GarageBand and Aperture yesterday afternoon. GarageBand brings improved stability, while Aperture addresses performance and stability issues.
Nike + iPod join gyms: Nike and Apple are joining forces with gyms to bring the Nike + iPod experience to cardio machines. The machines will have iPod nano docks that will track your workout and share that information with Nikeplus.com when you sync your iPod with your home computer.
An inconvenient non-vote: Proxy advisory firm, Glass Lewis & Co., are urging Apple shareholders to withhold votes for board members, Al Gore, Arthur Levinson and Jerome York. The firm is concerned with the board members roles in the recent options backdating issues.
