This is not Ballmer's laptop. He did not touch it throughout the presentation. It was left there by a prior presenter.
What's even better is that in 2005 I worked with a game development company working on a XBox 360 title (this was before the hardware was launched commercially). We received one of the first round of dev kits released to developers and to our amazement, these machines were actually G5 Mac Pros. :)
You didn't get a G5 Mac Pro since there is no such thing as a G5 Mac Pro. You got a PowerMac G5 tower
