Has it always been your dream to write about Apple until your eyes glaze over from iOS poisoning? Maybe you've been hankering to delve into the exciting world of Apple rumors?
Well, whatever your Apple-flavored passion may be, MacLife.com looking for freelance writers to write daily news posts from mid-morning to afternoon. These times are Pacific, so don't go asking if you can write news at 2PM Berlin time.
If you're interested in writing for us, here's what you must have:
A) Knowledge of all things Apple. Yeah, it's great that you're the president of your Newton fan club, but you might want to learn a bit about the iPad.
B) Image editing experience. We're not going to ask you to Photoshop Scott Forstall onto a lion as he's wearing a Princess Leia outfit while swinging a flaming sword. But you do need to know how to crop, resize, and adjust images so that they work on the site, and have a working knowledge of open source image editors like Gimp or Seashore.
C) Understanding of how internet news works. That means understanding that news on the Internet is NOW! NOW! NOW! If Apple releases a major update to iTunes, we want that information on the site ASAP.
D) Lively writing style. Just read the site, you'll figure it out.
If you possess all of the above, just do the following:
Send an email here. In the subject line, put "Mac|Life Needs My Words".
Include a resume and three, 100-word news articles based on the news of the past few days.
We'll go through the submissions and contact candidates we're interested in.
Thanks and good luck,
-Robbie
