Usually when I get in keyboard cases, the keyboards are made out of this flimsy rubber material that feels cheap and isn't comfortable to type on. Everything changed with this case, however. The chiclet keyboard is comfortable to type on, and though the keys are a bit tiny, that's pretty much the scenario with when you're cramming a full QWERTY keyboard into an iPad case.

The best part: the keyboard attaches via a super-strong magnet and can be removed for a more comfortable typing position. The case itself also has a nice, leathery feel to it, and the back folds out to make a nice prop stand for your iPad as you tippa-tappa away. (4.5/5 | $149.99)

Hard Candy Street Skin
When I first picked up this case, I was admittedly a bit taken aback by its design. It's a bit too reminiscent of the webbing pattern on Spiderman's lycra suit, or the way that the curves intersect on a basketball. Also, it just feels weird to hold in your hand, and the pop-up edges are a little sharp.

At least the Hard Candy Street Skin is good for what it advertises. The form-fitting rubber gives the iPad 2 that bit of bounce it needs if you're the type of person that tends to drop things, or are a bit rough with your electronic devices.

The plastic material of the front flap feels cheap, though, almost as if it's going to rip off at any second. There are better "rugged" cases out there and, unless you're a fan of shiny vinyl-like material, better looking ones too. (2/5 | $39.95)

Scosche Freekey
While this is admittedly not an iPad 2 case, it is a portable keyboard that we wanted to test out and see if it would fit nicely in our packs, along with our preferred iPad case of choice. Not everyone wants to haul around a folio case or hard keyboard when they're on the go. Also, it's water resistant, so if you spit when you talk, it's protected!

Understandably, the keyboard has to be made out of this kind of silicon material to be folded up, but as for prolonged periods of typing, well, you certainly wouldn't try to write a novel with this keyboard. It's comfortable enough for quick emails and Facebook comments, but don't bet on it as your business partner. (3.5/5 | $59.99)
