After using ^K to remove text from a window, ^Y will put it back.

Pressing ^K several times in a row will remove several lines of text. To put the removed text back in a different part of the document, place the cursor appropriately, and press ^Y. Pressing ^Y again will place another copy of the killed text at the cursor.
