If you're a parent or you're around children with any regularity at all, you know that the kids are going to get their hands on your iOS device. There is nothing you can do about this, so accept inevitability and put their interest to good use. Still, the number of valid educational apps out there is sadly limited. Thankfully, the good folks who made Sesame Street's There's A Monster at the End of This Book bring to us Endless Alphabet.
Right away, you're going to notice that Endless Alphabet has heaps of character. While the app is loading up, rambunctious little creatures parade across the screen. As soon as it's ready, a monster with a mouth full of words beckons you to spell them. Once you've selected a word and properly spelled it, an animated scene that helps define the word plays out. The little cartoons are funny and parents won't mind helping their children along the way. There is no scoring, there's no chance to fail, and kids can just play and explore at their own pace.
Endless Alphabet hopes to deliver new words on a regular basis, so expect it to stay in heavy rotation. Just don't be surprised if you end up playing around with the app yourself.
