There is no general theme to today's Free App Friday, other than that the apps we're suggestion enable you to actually do something--and this is how we do it...or something. In this week's edition, we'll show you a way to figure out how stuff works, select which browser to use any time you launch a link and get a virtual peg board on your iPad.
Mac
MultiBrowser

Life is full of difficult choices we must make each day, including deciding what browser to use for surfing the internet. No matter--this nifty free app rests comfortably in your preference pane and gives you a multitude of options for customizing your internet experience. My set up? Currently I'm using Chrome to surf the web and Firefox for all of my serious business.
iPad
Board

There is no real utilitarian value to Board, except that it's a whole new way for you to display your notes, lists and photos without just staring at the same old, boring Notes app. Hey, regular paper is pretty boring looking until you attach photos, stickers, pictures to it--the iPad is no different.
iPhone
HowStuffWorks

You don't know how to to do anything. At all. You're basically worthless in terms of being the handy (wo)man you've always wanted to be, but hey you've got an iPad by your side and an eager mind. Great! Use it to download HowStuffWorks and study one of the 30,000 articles, podcasts and videos that teach you things you should know, things you should have learned in history class but were too busy skipping to go surfing at the beach, and stuff your Mom never told you--um, like about the birds and the bees?
