Free App Friday: Ruzzle

After a short holiday hiatus, Free App Friday has returned! This week's selection, Ruzzle, may "boggle" your mind with its roots in a certain Parker Brothers turned Hasbro property, but the game puts its own spin on the word-finding classic.
The game is online multiplayer only and works by presenting you with a grid of 16 random letter tiles that you drag your finger across to form words. There are certain tiles that have double/triple letter and word scores, so you'll want to use those as much as possible to rack up the score in each two-minute round. While each round is timed, the time spent between rounds is infinite, so you can have multiple games going on at the same time and play at your own convenience. At the end of three rounds, a champion is crowned, and more likely than not, you'll be challenged to a rematch.
The dictionary is vast, and other than contractions, you'd be surprised what kind of idioms and slang will get you an easy few points. That said, nothing will be quite as satisfying as when you drop a "tortured" with a triple word score on your opponent. Ruzzle is possibly one of the most addictive free-to-play apps out there since you started having words with your friends.
Oh and if you think you've got the thunder, feel free to challenge me (Cap M) and I'll bring the suave lightning.
