At Mac|Life we have a little saying we like to say before work each day. “Never pass up an opportunity to play (or write about) Robot Unicorn Attack. In any of its iterations.” We chant those words like shamans as we make our way to the coffee machine each morning.
That’s why our office was all in a fuss when we heard about the Heavy Metal version of our favorite game. Sure, its just a repackaged version of the same game with limited additions and much worse graphics – but we’re in.
And so, ultimately, there’s not a lot to tell you about Robot Unicorn Heavy Metal Attacks that you can’t gather from the name. There are unicorns, heavy metal, and attacks. If you don’t have the original, get that instead. If you have the original and were considering donating to charity – get this instead.

What’s more hardcore than Cartoons? That’s right Wars! Combine the two and you’ve got unspeakable carnage.
Cartoon Wars is a very polished Castle Defense game with some serious improvements. First, there’s no reason to click over and over again to shoot an arrow. Instead, pressing a globe at the bottom activates a nearly endless supply or arrows – but they’ll shoot your allies so you need to use them cautiously, and defensively.
Second, there are actual levels. No more one level- play until you get creamed style gameplay. Cartoon Wars steps up its game.

There’s really no other way to describe this one. You’re a cursor avoiding dots. Pick up floaty icons to destroy dots and achieve better scores. Sure it sounds simple, but as swarms of dotty enemies learn to form walls, swords, and encircle you completely – all of the sudden you’ll realize…
If I don’t tilt, I’m gonna die.
