It’s time for another iOS Game Time, and it’s here right on time Wednesday.
Epic Citadel
Free
Epic Games, Inc.
iPhone and iPad
Okay, so Epic Citadel isn’t really a game in a strict sense. It’s a demo, and it feels like a bit more of a glimpse into a gorgeous Myst-like world than the epic sword-fighting RPG it’s soon to become. As is it looks great and is worth the walk through the enormous palace. Come readers, let us walk together.

Inside that door, is… nothing yet, dear reader. But one day soon, there will be a feast inside, methinks.

Look up, young reader. Dost thou make out the smoke from the peasants slaving away in the kitchen?

Our leisurely stroll reveals a yellow tree and creek. Fascinating.

Turn around, bright eyes, and look toward the sky. One day all this will be yours, young reader.
Check it out.
Build A-Lot 2: Town of the Year
$0.99 or $2.99
Glu Games Inc.
iPhone and iPad
Somewhere between Sim City and those crazy Tycoon games lies Build A-Lot a real estate iPad game. Like most Glu games, you’ll be completely overtaken with it for reasons beyond your comprehension. Your high score is factored by your Career Earnings.

We’re thankful for the extra screen real estate.
Suburban sprawl has never been so much fun.
Slice It!
$0.99
Com2us USA, Inc.
iPhone and iPad
Slice It! is kinda like math without the boring parts. You just slice stuff until you’ve sliced it into equal proportions with the right amount of pieces. In each level, you are given a shape and a certain number of slices you must make. It’s simple at first, but really difficult after just a few levels.

Of course it’s great. It’s a triforce.
Super Mega Worm
$0.99
Deceased Pixel LLC
iPhone
Remember the movie Tremors? Well this game is sort of like what Tremors would be if you played in on the NES. You control a giant worm that aims to cleanse the earth of the nasty human parasites. So, gobbling up babies and policemen makes you the protagonist.
There’s a deep story here. Just check out this introduction:

Ah yes, the book of Wyrm. I think I read that in 7th grade Honors English.
The secret to successful devastation is just barely skimming the surface and gobbling up the legions of humans that are on their Saturday (we think its probably Saturday) stroll.

Whoa, check out that gnarly air!
As the game progresses, you’ll have to deal with police squads, helicopters and an ever-evolving wormy body. Once you learn “spit,” things get real.

Editors’ high-score: 17,235
You’ll chew up the human scum, reduce their population (and pollution) to zero and save the earth. Everyone’s happy.

Except for this guy.
That’s it for this week. Sound off in the comments if you’d like to see your favorite game covered next week.
