Oceanhorn is one of the most beautiful games we've seen on iOS in a long time. It's apparently inspired by the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and we absolutely believe it. The game bears more than a passing resemblance to that Gamecube classic, which is a very good thing.

Here's a glimpse at its inspiration, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. It's hard to tell from one screen alone, but the games share many stylistic similarities from enemy designs to the overall feel of the world as well as themes like sailing and exploration. The developers have said they are looking to recreate grand adventures like old console games (such as Wind Waker and other Zelda games) and move away from the iOS norm of experience grinding and tedium.

Though it bears no aesthetic resemblance to its forebear, Chickon is actually a sequel of sorts to the classic iOS strategy game, Galcon. Galcon, is a fast-paced real-time strategy game in which players vie to take over a set of planets while their opponents try to do the same. It's simple, but it's also one of the best iPhone games ever made.

The sequel, as its title hints, is about chickens. From what we've heard, Chickon is very similar to Galcon, except instead of planets and spaceships, players fight over nests with chickens. It's certainly odd, but if it means we can get more of the amazing Galcon formula then we'll take it.

For years Gameloft has been making bank by (somewhat unscrupulously) "stealing" the formulas behind very successful games. They've got mock-ups of Uncharted, Halo, Modern Warfare and many more. You name it; they've duped it. The Gangstar series is Gameloft's attempt at a Grand Theft Auto clone, and the series has had mixed levels of success over the years.

The basic concept is exactly the same. You're a thug roaming the streets, completing missions, killing folk, and exploring the open world. These games aren't nearly as good as Rockstar's famous GTA series, but there's nothing else like them on the iPhone. The question is, with Grand Theft Auto III on the way, is the party over for Gangstar?
