The ridiculous variety of games on the App Store never ceases to amaze us. Every week we feature a few games that are worth keeping an eye on. From stunt hamsters to street gangs, we're always surprised by the level of variety being offered. This week was no different as we take a look at a Grand Theft Auto clone, an epic Zelda-style quest, and a strategy game about nesting chickens...no seriously, and it looks amazing too!
The Simpsons Arcade Game Could Come to iOS
First we got the classic X-men arcade game on iOS, and now rumors are swirling that the amazing Simpsons arcade game could be coming to iOS as well. A company that is well-known for porting games to iOS (and actually handled the X-men port to iOS as well) is currently bringing the game to Xbox Live Arcade. We don't yet know that it will be coming to iPhone, but X-men reportedly made a bundle on iOS, so it wouldn't be a shock to see them try to recapture some of that 90s arcade beat-em-up love.
Kairosoft's Oh! Edo Towns Arrives in App Store
We love Kairosoft, but they never give us any warning when new games are about to release! The creator of classic iOS games Game Dev Story and Grand Prix Story has released the latest in its long-running simulation series. We're sure you can expect most of the same tropes you've come to expect from Kairosoft: i.e. earn money to continue building your game company/grand prix team/mega mall/school or in this case: an ancient Japanese town from the Edo period.
