We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. Love the USA, love each other, and love these amazing deals on some great apps for your iPhone and iPad...

Of course your kids love America -- we all love America! (Oh, and happy Canada Day to our Canadian readers, eh?) Well, your kids can learn the U.S. states and capitals with this cute educational game, on sale for 99 cents though the July 4 weekend.

I can't seem to write one of these Price Drop thingies without mentioning a massive sale on Electronic Arts' many quality games for iPhone and iPad. Well, this weekend they're having their Biggest Sale Ever, with darn near 50 games on sale for 99 cents each. Even iPad games that they usually ask $9.99 for. Ninety-nine cents -- that's cheaper than those stupid snake things you get at the fireworks stand. (Probably. I don't know; my dad wouldn't let me buy them.)

The Audubon Society has this neat universal app, Audubon Guides, that combines four of their small field-guide apps: Birds, Mammals, Wildflowers, and Trees. If you have a camping trip or even just a nature hike planned for any time in the summer, it's a great pickup. It's usually $29.99, but for the entire month of July it's down to $19.99, not bad for a four-in-one app, especially one so well done.

Got toddlers? Spinlight Studio makes educational apps for little kids, including AlphaTots, TallyTots, and Swapsies. And they're all on sale this weekend, from $1.99 for the iPad apps to $0.99 for the iPhone versions, and Swapsies Pocket for iPhone is free. Help your kids master their numbers and letters so they'll grow up to be prosperous Americans! Yay, Independence Day!

99Games' range of games for iPad and iPhone are on sale this weekend, too (through July 5). We're partial to Prison Mayhem HD, but they have word games, tycoon games, strategy games, and more. And everything's 99 cents.
Have a great weekend!
