The 13 Best Nintendo DS Titles Now Available in the App Store

To be honest, we have no idea how to play this game. All we know is that Picross is a really popular game based on a "nonogram." This logic game asks you to figure out the position of the filled and emptied squares in the pixel grid and at the end of the level it rewards you with the picture you've uncovered.

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars - $9.99

In case you haven't heard about this one franchise called Grand Theft Auto, it's available on all sorts of platforms, including both the DS and the iPhone and iPod touch. The best part is that you can play your iTunes library as the background music instead of the default radio stations with predetermined playlists.

Phoenix Wright - $4.99

The DS game that caused a stir among many, Phoenix Wright is now available in the App Store for download. This riveting game of back and forth is chockfull with storyline and plot thickening revelations--perfect for those long bus rides where all you have is your iPhone handy.

Not only is she adorable, but Cooking Mama teaches you to chop up vegetables, cut meat and stir together ingredients. The iPhone and iPod touch version has shake and tilt abilities too, as well as a "Cooking Contest" mode where players can freely practice recipes without the harrowing ticking clock in the background.

Dr. Awesome - $0.99

For some Phoenix Wright drama in the operating room, Dr. Awesome, Microsurgeon M.D. will surely ramp up the action. The best part about this game is that you can take the names of your friends from your contact list and turn them into the patients so that you can operate on them.

Tetris - $2.99

This is by far the best game on the Nintendo DS. In fact, this game is so good, the physical game cartridge was stolen from this editor back in the day. Now it's available for the iPhone in a non-stealable format, unless someone sinister you know has the password to your iTunes account. Then, well, we don't know what to tell you about that.
