Thank goodness it's Friday, and we just got paaaaaaaaaaaid (actually, next weekend is moreso pay day, but at least we're preparing for it beforehand!). Bust out those iPhones, iPads, and whatever else to party on down for the weekend. But don't forget to stop by the bank and get some cash, and maybe take a moment to peruse your iOS device and see what is hip and happening in your town. Read on for more suggestions to enjoy the heck out of your weekend, and don't blow that paycheck all in one place!
Mac
Grooveshark

It's not an desktop application, but it is a wonderful internet music portal. Grooveshark enables you to make playlists based on whatever music you want to listen to, but don't necessarily want to acquire. How many times have you wanted to stick in a little Sade in between Daft Punk songs at your last party? A couple of times, surely, but this is a difficult feat if your music collection isn't nearby, or your home computer doesn't have the song you want. Anyway, that's what you use Grooveshark for!
Though it's free with the ads on the site, there is a premium service available should you choose to forego the "free" part of Friday and change it into "Paid App Friday." Whatever you want to do is cool with us--after all, it's your paycheck.
iPad
Open Table

Making restaurant reservations is a frustrating thing. The worst part is when the place is too busy to pick up the phone, then you're left going to the same Chinese restaurant you two always eat at every Saturday afternoon. It's time to put a little spring in your step and venture outside of your comfort zone. Go ahead and try that new Moroccan fusion cuisine, and make a reservation through Open Table to secure your place. And even if you don't use the app to save a spot, you can use it just to find out what's good in your area.
iPhone/iPad
Goby

This adorable little fish will scope out the most interesting things to do this weekend. Though he's not very good at looking far ahead in advance, Goby is perfect for firing up on a sunny Saturday afternoon and figuring out where the nearest watering hole is so you can head out for a quick swim. Or, maybe you'd be interested in strolling through a street festival of some sort. If the internet has caught wind of it, Goby will find it and display for you to enjoy.
iPhone
Movies

…And if you're not particularly interested in trolling through events in your city, maybe a movie would be more to your liking? Well, fortunately there's a free app that will get you to the theater and tell you if Inception is really worth your time (hint: it really, really is).
