New iPod nano: Unboxed and Ready To Rock!

When we got into the office this morning, a box from Cupertino—well, Mira Loma actually—was waiting for us.

Yes, the new iPod nano has landed. Apple even took care to cover the clear plastic box with protective film for shipping. 'Cause, you know, we can't have anything marring the pristine beauty of the packaging our electronics come in. Or whatever. Unfortunately, impatient Mac|Lifers tore off the protective shroud before we had a chance to whip out the camera.

The nano looked amazingly svelte inside the box.

Underneath the nano lies secrets only Apple (and now Mac|Life) knows.

The Quick Start guide, complete with plastic band to keep the pages from getting wrinkled. Isn't this iPod supposed to be all eco-friendly and stuff?

Dock Adapter (also covered in scratch-resistant film), USB charge/sync cable, and new earbuds.

Marmalade settles in for her first charge, alongside our iPhone.
