Holy White iPhone! And it's tracking your every move, even when you go back to the kitchen and sneak a couple extra bites of cake and drink milk from the jug -- and that's just some of what Apple revealed this week in the form of dance off press releases. Wait, what? The real news is below the fold, just in case you were pinned under a couch this week and might have missed some of this.
Features:
- 20 Expert Photography Tips - Digital cameras. Who doesn't have one now? Whether it's the real deal DSLR action with interchangeable lenses and flashes and filters you use for weddings and other major events or just whipping out your mobile phone for a quick shot of a dog in a dress walking down the street, we're all documenting things left, right, and center. But who's taken a photography class or learned the most artistic way to frame a shot? By show of hands? .... Yeah, that's what we thought. It's not a semester long course, but here's twenty tips to get you started.

- 12 Free (or Cheap) Tools to Replace MobileMe - Are they or aren't they? The big rumor out there these days is that Apple's turning MobileMe into something free for all. Of course, we've been hearing that for at least a year now with no sign that it's true save a few rumors that add up to ... something. All right, so fine, if they do or if they don't, maybe Apple's $99/year service just isn't what you're looking for. There are alternatives -- and some of them are even free.
How-Tos:
- How to Place iCal Events and Tasks on Your Desktop - iCal's all fine and good, yet sometimes you want events and tasks right there on your desktop ready to be scanned in an instant. You can do this cheap and easy or free and hard, the choice is up to you.

- How To Increase Your iPhone's Text Size - Wait! Before you break out your wallet and buy an old granny pair of reading glasses and a chain for your neck so you can read your iPhone! Don't look like a geezer just yet -- save that for your real golden years. Why not rock the large print, just like you might do with an ebook? And there's a dead easy way to handle this and it's only a few squinting steps left before you're reading in style.
Reviews:
- Pogoplug Review - If Amazon's downtime has taught us anything, it's that relying on someone else's cloud can be a tricky proposition. What if they have an outage? What if they go belly up? What if their security is compromised and those hilarious pictures of you at the party when you "fell asleep" and your friends drew on your face get ganked and spread about? Yeah, that's what we thought. Why not have your own cloud and not rely on someone else? Oh, yeah, now we're cooking.

- Lo-Fi Photo Editor Review - There's no question about it: digital cameras have gotten better and better and better, but there's something about the old skool camera action that can be appealing. Luckily for you, if you go in for the 1 megapixel love, Lo-Fi Photo Editor can get you some emulation sweetness.
News:
The rumor mill went into high gear with the long-fabled white iPhone apparently about to be released...and then at last it showed up, but was anyone still waiting around for it?...and why was it so fat?...at least one analyst says that the "mystique" could be worth at least 1-1.5 million sales which might shock some of us...what does that mean for the CDMA model? And is Apple slashing production of the Verizon handset?...and if that's a disappointment, what about the rumored T-Mobile version Apple's reportedly testing?
The other big news of the week was the curious case of the iPhone tracking data. Consolidated.db made big, big news when it apparently demonstrated that your iPhone was keeping tabs on places you'd been. Steve Jobs replied himself and said hogwash...but this wasn't quite enough to settle the matter, as the Reality Distortion Field apparently only works in person, so they put out a PR release that was supposed to quell worries...when that still didn't entirely kill the story, they finally rolled out Steve, Phil Schiller, and Scott Forestall to crush the whole business in an interview...when there were *still* questions swirling, Cupertino brought out the big guns, our very own Robbie and Flo. Now that ought to settle the matter once and for all.
