By this time next week, this space will be taken over with iPad 2 news and reviews, but we've got rumors, oh yes, we've got rumors. Plus, a whole bunch of other cool stuff in the mix. Are you excited for Thunderbolt? Just the idea of that kind of speed makes us want to upgrade. How about you?
Features:
- Everything You Need to Know About Thunderbolt - It's a word you're going to be hearing from here on out. Intel originally called it Light Peak, but now it's out, it's in the latest MacBooks, and it's called Thunderbolt. What's it do? How fast is it? And what does it mean to the future? How about speeds that crush USB 3.0 for starters? Now you know why Apple waited and didn't implement USB 3.0.

- First Look: Amazon Instant Video - Competition is good. We slap that caveat into just about any article regarding upcoming new tablets, and the same can be said for video streaming. Netflix and Hulu have dominated this sphere for quite some time and now they're going to face some heat from Amazon. Get yourself an Amazon Prime Membership (free shipping) and now free streaming. Not only is Amazon's new streaming cheaper than Netlfix or Hulu, but it also can make up for its cost come the holidays. That's what we call a bargain.
How-Tos:
- How To Travel Smarter With Your iPhone - Spring Break is coming up, people, which means some of you might be looking to take a little jaunt overseas. Take our advice so along with dead houseplants, you don't return stateside to a big fat roaming fee bill.

- How to Share Your Wireless Internet Connection Via Ethernet - Don't you hate when you're traveling and hotel wireless internet isn't based on your room, but for each individual computer? Why make everyone have to pay individually when you can use the built-in internet sharing feature in Mac OS X. All you need is an ethernet cable and you're gold.
Reviews:
- Twitter for OS X Review - It was a fair bet when Twitter for iOS on the iPad became such a hit that when the Mac App store launched it would be pretty similar, and sure enough it was. But that means that with the same sweet features came some of the less thrilling. We run it down for you, @maclife style.
- Girl Scouts Using iPhones to Process Cookie Transactions - Don't you hate it when you see those Girl Scouts troops with their boxes of tasty Tagalongs and you hit your wallet only to find out -- foul! No cash on hand. Well, Intuit is making it easier for the Girl Scouts to raise some dough and easier for you to pay with GoPayment credit card transactions. That's right. Swipe your card and you'll be munching on cookies before you leave the parking lot.
News:

As all things, it started with a rumor that turned out to be true, Apple holding an iPad event on March 2nd...then there was the question of whether or not Intel's Light Peak, now known as Thunderbolt, would be baked in to the new iPad (still pending)...because there were rumors up to it being announced in the new MacBook refreshes that it would be...and right on schedule, Apple started sending out the invitations...and will we be live blogging the announcement? Ha, as if we'd miss it for the world...and with Photo Booth clearly on its way to iOS devices, we can be reasonably sure that hot on the heels of the iPad 2 announcement there'll be an updated, new iOS hitting the market...and they're definitely purtying up Yerba Buena Center, Apple's go-to venue for their big events...although some in the rumor market are declaring that this refresh isn't a big deal, just a few spec bumps with bigger and better further down the road...but the updated MacBook Pro models didn't disappoint and the rumor mill was dead on with that one, so we'll just have to wait and see, we guess.

Remember how we talked about competition being good. It's mostly in regards to Android these days, so here's our contribution to the war for the common good, some Android apps that even an iPhone lover can lust for...now on with the apps we love and want on our iOS devices, such as these animals that often don't play nice... while the animals aren't so very nice, you can get yourself some nice sweet vocal chops with ImproVox, like Autotune in your pocket...and should you want to share your vocal stylings, by all means, pair ImproVox with SoundCloud on your Mac and you are cooking up something special...but maybe just a little time wasting is what you need, not becoming the next American Idol; well, can knockdowners fire up your fingers, because Can Knockdown 2 is in the works...set yourself a reminder to download these and more great apps, or just remember that you have to give your cat his medicine with Nag Alarm, the slick and fast calendar reminder app...feel the urge to do some writing? Well, we've got the best free writing apps out there on the market...but if you want to do a presentation, you'll have to pick something a little meatier than free...
