We've made a small change to our formatting here in In Case You Missed It. News is a bit hotter than this easy like Sunday morning format we've got rolling here, so we've set things up for a Friday afternoon roll out of the 10 Hottest Apple News Stories. By all means, be sure to check that out, and be sure to still check out the biggest other kinds of stories, right here, just in case... you know.
Features:
- 10 Awesome Free Apps in the Mac App Store - Sure, there are lots of good deals in the Mac App Store where you can swing sweet software for just a few bucks -- it's cheaper than full-fledged software after all. But we know of an even better deal than that. How does $0 fit your budget? Yeah, there's no better price than free and we picked up 10 -- count 'em, ten -- of these freebies that rock our own personal Casbahs. And hopefully yours too.

- What is LTE? - It's a veritable alphabet soup of tech acronyms these days no matter where you look. We all know 3G and the reputed 4G, but what's HSPA, what's EV-DO, and what's the one we've been hearing a lot lately? LTE? What's it all about? Well, sit back, kiddies while we break down the alphabet and drop some wisdom on you (YMMV).
How-Tos:
- How To Enable Private Browsing and Delete Your Browsing History - Ah, there's nothing like letting a friend use your computer then finding out later how little he knows about private browsing and clearing the browser's history. It can be cringeworthy experience, but you know what's worse? When you forget to cover your tracks when "planning a party" or "gift shopping" or whatever euphemism you choose to use for why you might want to look at websites in secret. We can help you regardless of how you go about your online browsing.

- How To Hide Your Files from Prying Eyes - On a related tip, perhaps you've downloaded some top-secret files from your top-secret, late night browsing sessions when no one else is awake, and you'd like to keep to keep them, but not let anyone else see your stash of digital Japanese romance manga. Hey, we've all got our dirty little secrets, and here's yet one more way to keep yours under wraps.
Reviews:
- App Showdown: Text-To-Speech Apps - Wouldn't it be nice if you could have someone read you your Twitter feed while you're shaving or driving the car? It'd be a heck of a lot safer than trying to do it yourself while holding a razor to your throat or piloting a two ton SUV through a school zone. Is there maybe, possibly, oh we don't know -- an app for that? Heck yeah there is, of course there is, and an app that'll read you the full text of just about any amount of verbiage you drop into its maw, and we got our hands on both of 'em.

- Space Gremlin Review - Gremlins typically are known for causing mischief and wreaking havoc, but what if you could harness their power for good? Ah, then we'd be talking. Maybe Space Gremlins are different. Who knows? Well 10 Million Apps has at least one seeking to help you manage your hard drive and system bloat. And while you never want to get your Mac wet, you also don't want to feed Space Gremlin after midnight, just to be on the safe side.
