Happy Mother's Day to all you geek moms out there. We've got a little hardware on offer, a little software you should definitely check out, and a few how-tos that'll get you up to a geeked out fancy Mac style. There's also a bit of news out there, just in case you missed it.
Features:
- Zeppelin Air Review - There are iPod docking speakers and then there are iPod docking speakers that will kick your butt, take your lunch money, and steal your car. It's that bad@$$. Actually, those dollar signs there a the first and almost only trouble in paradise. Sure, it's crisp where it needs to be, the bass is kicking where it needs to be, but the Zeppelin Air is going to cost you some serious jack.

- App Showdown: Celebrity Chefs - Sometimes we think Iron Chef could be livened up if it were steel cage match, but that doesn't stop us from marveling at the work it must be to create gorgeus cooking apps good enough to bear the chef's name and functional enough to catch our eye. So how did this one turn out? Batali are the other two contestants, hair, clothes, jewelry and more.
Reviews:
- April's Highest Rated Reviews - It's a tradition round these here Mac|Life parts to gather up the past month's top rated gear, gadgets, and other goodies for a big summary. Sort of like a monthly curtain call. We think months with Apple events in them tend to do best of all, but all twelve months are our favorites.
- SOHO Organizer 9 Productivity Suite Review - Apple's default software manages tasks like calendar reminders and address book management pretty well, so who needs to buy a replacement? We're guessing the makers of SOHO Organizer are targeting power users who just want a little more oomph. But does the oomph justify the ka-ching? Let's take a look.

How-Tos:
- How To Customize Your Desktop with GeekTool - Terminal gives you awesome godlike power over so many aspects of your Mac that we can't understand why more people aren't "macking" it hardcore. Then we remember, oh yeah, we hate command line entry as much as everyone else. So why are we talking up GeekTool? Guess you'll have to read on to find out.

- How to Clean Your Mac - And as long as you're geeking out and giving yourself some fine new tools what about spiffing up your Mac's exterior. Sure, it's not really you that drops all the toast crumbs and drips of coffee of the keyboard, but someone does it and isn't it time you try and get back to that high polished shine from when you got it out of the box?
News:

News that we can't quite get our heads around? That the BlackBerry PlayBook got a Facebook Tablet app before the iPad...get crackin Zuckerberg. Heck, we've got our second round of the Mac|Life iPad magazine app up already and we're nowhere near Facebook's size...of course, there's our magazine app and our, hmmm, well, uh, regular iPhone app you can double up in size, but we're not alone in this, as this list of developers who need to make up an iPad version pronto...not that an iPad version is a path to riches, as the $10million quarter loss for News Corp.'s The Daily...but the best thing you can do is get yourself (or your mom or wife or girlfriend or even your grandmother) a few sweet deals at the App Store and at iTunes, which will include hopefully some great discounts on some iPad versions.
Now go out there and have yourself a nice mimosa brunch.
