If you're anything like the average Mac user, you're probably creative enough to have come up with an invention or two in your time; something useful that could very well change the way the world works. However, there is a big stumbling block on the path to getting your invention out there: Building a prototype. It can be expensive to hire someone to make one for you, if you aren't skilled enough to do it yourself. Fortunately, that's where Quirky can help.
Quirky works like this: You submit your invention idea to the site, where it undergoes a rigorous evaluation by both the community of users and inventors and Quirky's top-notch design engineers. If it's deemed worthy, the idea gets turned into a prototype, and moves on to a presale phase in which it must receive a given number of orders to be finally turned into a mass-produced product. Quirky makes the invention process workable for the average creative person.
We like this idea so much we've culled our 10 favorite computer-related products for your perusal, many of which are Mac-focused. These inventions are all available on the Quirky site, so if you see something you like, get one for yourself!
