5 Optical Drives for Your New MacBook Air
Just got your new MacBook Air but not sure what to do with all your old CDs, CD-ROMs, and DVDs? Stop trying to stick them in that paper thin aluminum powerhouse, there is no optical drive in the MacBook Air. Settle down before you hurt somebody, and check out these five external optical drives you can plug right in and get back the whirring sound you've missed. Now, we're not talking Blu-ray or Thunderbolt here, just straightforward USB 2.0 based drives for disc jockeying, burning and ripping, and installing software.

HI
I bought this one but my iMAc 24 inch with Mac osX leopard 10.5.8 doesn't detect the drive. It shouldn' be plug and play?
In the box they say that the drive is compatible but the is something weird on the website. In the .com version at the specifications says that it works on Mac but in the spanish version Mac disapears
I wanted to paste the links but the filter spam doesn't like it sorry

One question to ask is "what is powering this thing?" My LiteON Slim CD/DVD burner has no power brick at all, but it does need 2 available USB ports. Works perfectly with the iMac.
