Voxer (Free, iPhone) is a messaging app on steroids. It gives you everything a typical texting platform offers and adds a walkie-talkie. Record your message, press send, and your partner receives it immediately. And the delay -- what delay? Voxer is military worthy; the company is developing a tactical prototype for military units. Roger that!

Cupple (Free, iPhone) is exactly what we have been looking for. Touting itself as a private sharing app specifically designed for two, it’s basically Facebook where the only other user is your partner. Post photos, add captions, check in to places, and keep all that strictly between the two of you. Now you can share anything without worrying about the prying eyes of your wider social network.
