Multi-Tasking
Unlike the Facebook iPhone app, menu icons aren't limited to the home screen. In the new app, you can call up the left-hand main menu on any screen, without leaving any page. It also allows you to access your news feed, messages, events, and more without interruption. You can also view your notifications without leaving pages, as you can on the Facebook website.

Multiple Users
If you share your iPad, you're in luck. The new iPad app allows users to add multiple profiles, making logging in with multiple accounts a simpler affair. The giant thumbnails it uses to identify accounts are pretty nicely laid out, too. Just want to add someone temporarily? No problem--it's as easy as one tap to delete an added account.

Apps
Apps are now a part of the menu in Facebook's iPad app. You can launch your games and linked applications, like Instagram and Yelp, directly the app. Facebook immediately launches iPad apps in new windows--it's a pretty handy way to switch apps!

Location Map
Facebook for iPad now features a geo-locational map that pinpoints you, and all the locations where your friends have most recently checked-in. Although we'll be honest, this borders on a little stalkery for some of us...

Improved Photo Album
Last, but definitely not least, Facebook gives us a much improved photo viewer. You can now pinch and zoom in on your photos, scroll through them, and view them in high-res. The only caveat is that all the lower resolution photos you've uploaded will look pretty fuzzy.
