Google has given us a lot of great products and services over the years, but there's one nut they've yet to crack: Social networking. The release of Google+ is merely the latest attempt in a series of well-meaning failures that have made people wonder if they'll ever get it right. While it's too early to tell how this new network will pan out, it's worth taking a look back at Google's other experiments to see if they've learned their lessons.
To be fair, not all of these services were disasters. Some of them continue on in some form, and all of them were full of promise when they launched. Google has gone on record as saying that it learns from and celebrates its mistakes; here's your chance to revel with them!
