ioSafe, the makers of the fire- and water-proof Rugged Portable hard drives, have just announced the next generation of drives that are both Thunderbolt compatible and thunderbolt proof. Not only does the drive hook up to a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac, but it's also safe in a lightning storm -- or, perhaps more commonly, an electricity short from a bad power outlet.
The company invited the Mac|Life editors out to a warehouse this afternoon to put these shock-proof drives through the test. Click through the gallery for a quick look, and stay tuned next week when we post the video of all the action.
