Holy smokes, you guys, we are up to $1,758 donated on our Giving Page! Plus, the MACLIFE code used to double donations has been used far and wide across DonorsChoose.org, matching more than $8,000 in generous giving! In fact, of the people who've used that code, more than 50 of them are brand-new to DonorsChoose, so that's a great thing. Pat yourselves on the back.
And our spring donation drive is almost over, so while you're patting yourself on the back, slide that wallet out of your back pocket, and make another donation. Please? Pretty please? The MACLIFE match code, which matches all donations up to $100, will expire on May 1. Which is this coming Tuesday! And that's also the day I'm drawing for prizes. To be eligible for our drawings, forward me (susie at maclife.com) your email receipt by 9am Pacific on May 1.

Enter MACLIFE at checkout to have your donation matched.
The big prize pool is for everyone who donated. I have a bunch of prizes, so while it's a random drawing, so far it looks like everyone will get something. I've got a pair of Spark headphones, a Smart Blood Pressure monitor, a 30GB SugarSync account, some cool Mac software including Disk Art by Clean Cut Code, a TC Helo from Griffin Technology, Fling Mini controllers from Ten One Design, the VooMate Zapper from Zero1, a Sound to Go speaker from Edifier, and a BiKN for iPhone from Treehouse Labs. Whew! Remember, anyone can enter this drawing: Just forward your receipt from DonorsChoose to me at susie at maclife.com.
We also have some bonus prizes! If your receipt shows you've donated to these specially called-out projects, you're entered in the big prize drawing AND a drawing for these two bonus prizes.
Bonus #1
Donate to this First Graders Love to Read Books project, and you're entered to win a $25 iTunes Store gift card. As you probably know, iTunes cards can also be used in the Mac App Store and the iBookstore. Or traded to nerds for rare Magic: The Gathering cards.
Bonus #2: I'm just announcing this now!
For a brand-new bonus prize, five people who give to this Get Your Game On project (board games for a class in Brooklyn -- fun!) will get Mac App Store codes for both Quake 4 and Company of Heroes, two awesome games from Aspyr. Quake 4 retails for $19.99, and Company of Heroes goes for $49.99, and five lucky winners will get both. Both!
But the biggest reward of all is knowing that your donation helped a hard-working public school teacher provide an extra cool educational experience to a classroom of kids. These are the teachers who go above and beyond to instill in their students a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We've got a few more days in our donation drive. Please give whatever you can.
