We're on the tail end of another great week for iOS games, including the new expansion for much-loved card game, Ascension, as well as the new game from the creators of Super Stickman Golf, plus a little indie favorite called Super Crate Box. There’s also some great stuff not too far off on the horizon, including the iOS debut of multiplatform hit Cthulhu Saves the World, along with the amazing-looking Star Marine.
Ascension iOS Gets Expansion
Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer released quietly earlier this year on iOS, and it has since become one of our favorite board/card games on iOS, constantly battling with Catan and Ticket to Ride for the top-spot in our heart. Now, owners of the iOS version can grab the expansion pack that's been available for the physical card game for some time via in-app purchase. The Return of the Fallen expansion is sold for $4.99 within the main app.
Lunar Racer Released
Noodlecake, the developer behind one of our all-time favorite iOS games (Super Stickman Golf) has released its latest original title, and it's nothing like the last one. Lunar Racer riffs off Noodlecake’s earlier experiment with physics gameplay and takes it to the extreme, with four players racing against each other in bizarre low-gravity conditions. We haven't had a chance to check out this $0.99 universal app just yet, but the side-scrolling racing approach certainly has us curious!
Super Crate Box Released on iOS
Though it’s far from what most would consider a blockbuster title, plenty of folks are very excited to see Super Crate Box debuting on iOS this week. The game is exceedingly simple at its core, and tasks players with collecting crates (which give them a new weapon to use) in a small level that is slowly being overrun by enemies. This game is beloved, and for good reason: It’s really fun, plus now it’s available for your iOS device of choice for just $0.99.
