News flash: Mother's Day is Sunday. Yeah, this Sunday. Just a couple days away. Flowers are crazy expensive this time of year, ridiculously so, and they don't show a lot of creativity either. But don't freak; you still have time to get your mom a little somethin', and once again the Internet is here to help.
For example, did you know you can gift iOS apps and other iTunes Store content? Maybe you did; you're very smart. Well, consider this a reminder, then. You just need your own iTunes Store account, plus the other person's email address. It's probably best if you know which email address they have associated with their own iTunes Store account, but how many email addresses does your mom have, anyway? (Mine has one. Hi, Mom!)
Then you just find the iTunes Store page of whatever you want to give her, and instead of clicking right on the big Buy button, click the little arrow on the right side of that button. That drops down a menu with Gift This [Whatever]. (Yeah, "gift" is a verb now.) Click that, fill out the forms on the next screen or two -- you can handle this, I know you can. Your recipient will get a nicely formatted email with instructions on getting their lovely gift, plus the warm feeling of knowing you remembered to get her something. It's the thought that counts!
And if you absolutely don't know what to get, or you want to get your mom something from the iBookstore, which of course doesn't have a presence within the iTunes application or online, and doesn't support "gifting" yet, remember that an iTunes Gift Card works just fine too. That can be sent instantly via email as well, and you can procure one right here.
