They're still taking the wrapping off of Macworld/iWorld 2012, but we couldn't resist heading down to Moscone Center to get a sneak peek at what this year's show has in store.

Inside Moscone West. There's not much going on yet. But that doesn't stop Macworld security from getting miffed at us for taking pictures. Luckily, the "But we're press…these are not the droids you're looking for" strategy seems to deflect them.

Silent Frisco will be hosting DJs playing a "silent disco." Don wireless headphones, and dance like a maniac to music no one else can hear! You can bet we'll be back here for pictures. And dancing. Untz-untz-untz-untz.

At the press preview, one of the items that caught our eye was the Lantronix xPrint Server. Plug that tiny box into your network, and you can turn any printer into a wi-fi printer, accessible from your iPad or iPhone. Neat!

Fujitsu's ScanSnap 1100 is the size of--well, a really portable scanner. But it's super-quick, easily handles everything from photos to business cards, and can scan directly into Evernote.
