HD Radio, iTunes Web Explosion and Amazon Loves Apple
Tag, you're it: The rumors are flying now. Apple is reportedly set to introduce an HD boombox with HD radio music tagging. This is great news for the five people who bought the original iPod Hi-Fi.
New York Roast: Who needs research when you're writing a hit piece. The New York Post has an article that reports that Steve Jobs was pressured into an iTunes rental situation by the studios. Of course, all those references to rentals in iTunes builds over the last year were put there by the studios as well. Or maybe a wizard did it.
iTunes Store rush: If you're one of the lucky folks who got a new iPod for Christmas, you'll be happy to know that you pushed the store's traffic to 339 percent above normal. You people really love the Hannah Montana.
Apple pleases Amazon: Apple, once again, is all over the Amazon "Best Of" lists. The most loved computer was the Apple MacBook Pro, while Leopard was the most loved software.

The Hi-Fi is what it is . And it is great for what it is.
My new "stereo system" is my Hi-Fi. For a few hundred dollars it fills a need. If it evolves, those that trashed it will learn to like it.

I agree. It's a really good product. I have it near my TV and run the video from my iPod to the TV, and the audio from the Hi-Fi ... makes for a nice and convenient viewing setup. Also, of course, the Hi-Fi charges the iPod, so you can watch for many hours this way.
Will the old Hi-Fi's be upgradeable?

Has anyone noticed that Apples site is down now? I haven't been able to access it all day.
