How can I avoid dropping the screw from a G5's PCI card or slot cover deep into my Mac?

After straining our backs shaking dropped screws out of G5 cases one too many times, we learned to use a dab of glue from a glue stick to keep the screw on the screwdriver while delivering the former to its designated hole. Magnetic-tipped screwdrivers are a sexier solution, but willfully inserting even the meekest magnet into a computer's case is widely regarded as one of the dumbest things one can do.
