How can I deauthorize my dead PowerBook from iTunes?
This is not a problem! Simply go to the iTunes Store and access your Apple Account Information screen. If you've authorized five Macs, a Deauthorize All option will appear - click it to deauthorize all of them. You'll need to reauthorize all your other computers, however, and you can only do this once a year.
BONUS TIP:
Enter Vanilla Ice in the Search field. Press Return, then Command-A. Choose Edit > Clear, and click Remove in the dialog that appears. Believe us, you'll feel better.

BONUS TIP:
Enter Vanilla Ice in the Search field. Press Return, then Command-A. Choose Edit > Clear, and click Remove in the dialog that appears. Believe us, you'll feel better...I tried this without it having any effect.
1) When I get to the "Edit" menu using the above instructions, "clear" is not an available choice.
2) What's the point of the tip anyway. I have no interest in Vanilla Ice one way or the other, but having that music available isn't a problem, since I'd never have looked for it in the first place. Why would I feel better if I was able to remove it?

dude you're seriously an idiot. Vanilla Ice sucks. That's why you'd feel better if you removed it. You're better off without it. Duh!

The "delete all" option is only necessary if you've authorized 5 comps.
If you haven't maxxed out your authorizations, don't sweat the old PB authorization.
If and when you've maxxed them out.THEN use the "delete all" option and you're gold.
