Download the Pogoplug software for your Mac by clicking here. Once downloaded, run the easy-to-use installer and complete the set up.

After the installation is complete, the Pogoplug Account Setup will appear and ask if you are an existing Pogoplug user or need to set up a new account. Use this setup wizard to register your machine and log into the Pogoplug system.

Once you have enabled Pogoplug on your Mac, navigate to System Preferences > Pogoplug > Remote Access. From this section of the Pogoplug preferences, you can set additional folders that you wish to share by clicking on the Add button. While you’re here, also ensure that the Pogoplug Remote Access switch is flipped to the On position.

Whenever you wish to access your files while on-the-go, just head to my.pogoplug.com and log in. Once you’ve logged in, your connected devices will show up in the left-hand side. Clicking them will reveal file and folder listings remotely. Using this interface, you can also stream media files.

With this free account, you also have access to the Pogoplug iPhone/iPad application[iTunes Link]. With this application, you can access your files from your iOS devices. When logging into the application, use the same username and password that you did when setting up your Mac.
