One thing I really like to do with my spare time is super impose things upon other things. And hey, it's the holiday season, so it's definitely time to superimpose photos of Santa's hat on my head. It makes for a nice Facebook photo and can save a bit of money on those professional photographs you take every year for the annual Christmas card send out.
Oh, but if you're wondering how to dress up your action figures for the occasion, you'll probably want to click through to this link.
Step one: Find your Santa Hat
The best part about the internet is that when you type something into a search engine, it returns results. Search Google Images for "santa hat" and if you can't find anything worthwhile, here are three that we picked out for you (they're linked back to their source links).

Step two: Cut it Out
Uncle Joey was on to something when he was telling the Tanner family to "cut it out". Open up Photoshop (or either of the free and open source alternatives, GIMP and Seashore), select the Pen tool, and begin lining out the Santa hat.

Once you've meticulously done so, right-click and select "Make Selection". A dialog window will pop up. Make sure it that there is no feathering, that anti-aliasing is selected, and then click OK.

Step three: Copy & Paste & Resize

Once your cut-out is selected, you'll see animated dashes around your image, which means it's okay to copy the selection. Select Ctrl + C, and then Ctrl + V your image into the picture of yourself, your friends, your dog, or whatever else you want to plop a Santa hat on.

Once you've done that, go to the menu bar and select Edit > Transform > Scale. You'll see arrows for resizing your image; use these to match the Santa hat to the size of your image. Once you're finished, press enter and move the object so that it's appropriately situated over your subject.
Step four: Convince your Mom that you're Santa Claus
Actually, this is probably not going to happen. But here's your end result:
