Many of us spend the majority of our day sifting through, sorting, and retrieving email. But when you're moving messages between folders, clicking, dragging and dropping becomes a repetitive annoyance. Fortunately, Mac OS X comes with the built-in ability to assign keyboard shortcuts. Note: Because of the way this feature works, ensure that the folder you’re moving messages to is located on your Mac -- not on an IMAP server -- and that it has a unique name. If you encoutner a problem with the keyboard shortcuts, consider placing a special character before or after the folder name to help alleviate any potential problems (i.e. use a “%My Mailbox Name” or “My Mailbox Name@”).
