MMS is here, now how the hell do you get it to work? We got your back. (Unless you have a first generation iPhone. Sorry.)
Enable MMS
- Plug your iPhone into iTunes.
- Click on "Check for Updates"
- You should see the dialog box above. Download and install that magical .ipcc file.
- After the update--which should take no time at all--you'll get the dialog box that your carrier settings have been updated.
- Unplug your iPhone and turn it off.
- Turn it back on.
-Navigate to the Messages app (the one you use to send SMS).
- Behold the power of the tiny camera icon.
- Send your signifigant other a picture of yourself. Make sure it's safe for work.
You can also send MMS via the Photos app.
-Launch the Photos app
- Tap on the share button.
- Tap to select a photo, or photos, to send.
-Tap on share.
-Boom! The MMS button is alive in the dialog box that appears.
Send the magics!
Finally, maybe you hate MMS. You can turn it off.
- Navigate to Settings > Messages.
- There you can turn off MMS.
Have Fun!
UPDATE: Commenter wingnut03370 points out tht you can also send contacts and voice memos via MMS.
For Contacts:
Launch the Contacts app, find the personyou want to share and tap on Share Contact for the MMS screen to appear.
For Voice Memos:
Launch Voice Memos, navigate to the audio you want to share and click on the Share button.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
