How To Fix an iTunes Backup Session Failure

Have you ever synced your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and received this error message from itunes?

To fix this, go to System Preferences on your Mac and open Date & Time. Now locate the Time Zone tab and select it. Note your current time zone and change it to the time zone before or after the one currently selected.
Now, the next time you try to sync or perform a backup separately, your iOS device will perform the backup. Afterwards, simply reverse the above procedure to set the time zone back to normal. It may be necessary to repeat this process each time you do a backup.
