I can’t figure out how to use Yahoo IMAP on my iPad. What are the steps I need to take to get this to work? And can I get it working with Mail on my Mac?

Apple has included an easy-to-use setup wizard specifically for signing in and setting up your Yahoo IMAP push email, calendars, and notes. Navigate to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account and tap on Yahoo. Enter your name, address, password, and a description of the account. On the next screen, ensure that the On switch is flipped for Mail, and optionally for Calendars and Notes. When you’re done, tap Save.

You can optionally turn on Calendars and Notes syncing with Yahoo mail.

Apple Mail on the Mac is just as easy to configure for Yahoo Mail Plus email. Just launch the Mail app and go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts. Click the plus button “+” at the bottom of the mail accounts listing on the left-hand side. You’ll get prompted for your account details, and then click Create to use Mail with your Yahoo account.
