We’ve all been there. You work eight hours, come back home, and drive to the grocery store, and it’s not until you get home again that you remember you had to pick up your dry-cleaning. Before you know it, it’s time for bed and you left your children at karate class. Oh well, you’ll just have to pick them up tomorrow.

Push notifications prompt you to complete nearby tasks.
Break the cycle. Task Ave ($2.99, iPhone) is a location-aware task manager. If you end up near something on your to-do list, you’ll receive a push notification alerting you. This could quickly become unwieldy for city dwellers if it weren’t for the amazingly helpful ability to adjust proximity notifications.

The map shows you where you have to go to get ’er done.
Once your map is adequately filled with one-time and repeating tasks, you can view the map with all your pins. This visual representation of things that must be done can sometimes help you decide what order to tackle them in, and what route to take. If you have six things to do downtown and only two near the local grocery, you can reprioritize your errands and save yourself some serious time running back and forth.

Task Ave has a handy list view as well.
Oh, and make sure your kids’ karate class is on there.
