I use Subler to add metadata to all my DVD rips. But now all my movies open in Subler by default. How can I permanently make QuickTime the default program?
Unfortunately, once some applications put their hands on your files, they just don’t want to let loose. Thankfully, it’s pretty simple to set things right again. Right-click on the file and select the Get Info option. Find the “Open with” section in the Get Info window, and select the default application you’d like to use. To make all files with this extension open with the selected application, click the Change All button. Click Continue in the new pop-up confirmation dialog, and this file type will always open with the selected application.

The Get Info window provides all kinds of file information about your selected file.
