How to Restore a Mac in Snow Leopard

I’m looking to restore my Mac, but have upgraded my OS to Leopard and then to Snow Leopard. How would I go about restoring my Mac, and will I be able to upgrade my OS back to Snow Leopard after the restore? I still have all of the discs.
If your Mac already has Snow Leopard on it, then you can easily erase and restore your Mac using the Snow Leopard installer disc. First, make sure you have a backup of all of your important files—this is obvious, but so important that we’re pointing it out anyway. Once that’s done, insert the Mac OS X Install DVD into your Mac’s drive, and restart the computer while holding down the C key. Your Mac will automatically boot into the installer.
After selecting your Language, choose Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your hard drive (usually called Macintosh HD), and then click the Erase tab. Click Erase to begin erasing and reformatting your hard drive. This will erase all of your data, so again, make sure you have a backup of your important files.

Erasing your drive will give your Mac a fresh start.
After quitting Disk Utility, you can easily reinstall Snow Leopard on the newly erased drive. In the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Installer screen, click Continue, then click Agree when the license agreement appears. Select the disk you erased, and then click the After quitting Disk Utility, you can easily reinstall Snow Leopard on the newly erased drive. In the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Installer screen, click Continue, then click Agree when the license agreement appears. Select the disk you erased, and then click the Install button. After a successful install, you’ll be prompted to Restart.
