How to Tag Classical Music in iTunes

iTunes is most definitely not designed for classical recordings. Is there a better way to create more accurate tags for my music collection?
ID3 tags are a standard way to tag digital audio tracks, and Apple does support this standard with iTunes, but unfortunately, Apple does abuse the standard a little by writing the track information in an XML file that iTunes reads, instead of updating the ID3 tag information in the actual audio track itself. This makes things more difficult for people who then want to share tracks from their iTunes library.
You can get around this problem by using an application specifically designed for tagging tracks -- we like Tagalicious. This application integrates nicely with iTunes, allowing you to update tag information in iTunes directly from the Tagalicious application using information provided by Gracenote. If you’re looking for something that can give you more control when editing track information, take a look at the MusicBrainz Picard application, which allows you to edit the finer details of your track information or look up the track information using the MusicBrainz service.

MusicBrainz Picard gives you full control over editing the tag information and provides a track-lookup service.
