After logging into the LogMeIn Ignition client on either your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, tap on the computer you would like to transfer a file from. Three buttons will then drop-down below the chosen computer. Tap on the file icon (the middle one) to connect to that computer and begin transferring files.

After LogMeIn connects to your selected computer, the LogMeIn Ignition client will present you with the disk volumes on that computer. From here, you can browse the file directory just as you would with the Finder on your Mac. When you see a file you would like to transfer, tap on it in the listing.

After tapping on the file you would like to transfer, click the larger icon in the details section that appears below the file listing.

A pop-up menu will appear after tapping on the file icon. This menu will allow you to open, copy, move, rename, or delete the file. We'll choose to open it to see if it's the file that we want to copy over to our device.

The preview feature allows you to preview iOS-compatible files just as you might do a Quick Look on a file in Mail. Once you have previewed the file, click the Done button in the upper, left-hand corner of the view.

After previewing your file, you will be prompted to download the file onto your iOS device. This allows you to view the file even when you're offline. You can also optionally save your response for future reference.

After the file copy to your iOS device has completed, switch tabs to the second tab, labeled "Local Files." This section of the application is where all of the files you have transferred to your device are located.

The files that you download from your remote computers will be stored in the folder called "Saved From Computers" by default. Tapping on any of these files and then on the large icon below the file listing, will present you with various file management options. One of the nicest features is the Update option. When you tap on this command, LogMeIn will automatically check with the computer the file was originally downloaded from to see if it has the newest version of this file.

You can preview the locally-stored files just as you could remotely, and you can also tap on the arrow in the top, right-hand corner of the screen to open the "Open In..." options, allowing you to open the file in another application on your iOS device.

Using the copy or move commands, you are able to copy and move files between your local device and other remote computers you are connected to. This command will cause the file to appear in the tab listing. Tapping on the tab you wish to copy to will allow you to further select a destination folder.
