iPhones have long been the offenders of waking us up in the middle of night with beeps, buzzes, and bright flashing screens. Fortunately, Apple has found a solution for those sleepless nights (and times when you'd rather just not be bothered) in the form of Do Not Disturb mode. When you place your phone in this mode, your device will remain silent until you're ready to deal with notifications.
Schedule Do Not Disturb Mode
To have Do Not Disturb mode run on a schedule, navigate to Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb, and flip the Scheduled switch from Off to On.

Tap in the From/To area to set the start and end time for the Do Not Disturb mode schedule. The mode will automatically activate during these hours, and will silence alerts and calls coming into your device.

Incoming call preferences can be set by tapping on the option for “Allow Calls From.” Here, you can select between Everyone, No One, Favorites, or a certain group in your contacts list.

At the bottom of the Do Not Disturb settings, you will find an option for “Repeated Calls.” Flipping this switch on, whenever someone calls back a second time from the same number within a 3-minute time frame, the second call will not be silenced.
Manually Activate Do Not Disturb Mode

To enable Do Not Disturb mode manually, navigate to Settings and flip the “Do Not Disturb” switch from Off to On. A moon will appear in the status bar on your device, letting you know that your device is currently in Do Not Disturb mode.
