How To Use One Keyboard Shortcut to Quit All Applications

I keep seeing the mention of keyboard shortcuts to quit all apps and restart or shut down, but nobody ever points out that Shift-Command-Q will quit all apps and log out. What, am I the only Mac user around who actually logs out of my account?

I typically don't log out except as a troubleshooting measure to get a sort-of clean slate, kinda like a restart but quicker and not as good.

When I want to "lock" my computer or make it available for someone else to use, rather than log out, I just switch to the login screen (an option available from the Fast User Switching menu). I used Butler to make a keyboard shortcut for it.
