After seeing this article I went out and bought a wired XBOX360 controller because I did not want to deal with batteries. That said I then downloaded (bought) Gamepad Buddy from the App Store and started setting it up to play Portal. I was very disappointed with the result. The turn left/right and up/down mouse movements were very choppy and I couldn't set the Rx and Ry axis to operate the mouse buttons.

Frustrated I did some web searching and found Controller Mate from Orderedbytes. Incredible flexibility and power. I was able to quickly fine-tune my tattiebogle driven XBOX360 Controller into a lean mean Portal-punching machine. Still some fine tuning for the mobility parts - maybe some button layout changes.

You can download a 10 function limited edition for free and if you buy it its $15.00 but well worth it in terms of the controllers you can work with. (track-pad, mouse, keyboards, Wacom tablet.) Now I need to figure out how to enable profiles based on the foreground application, or launch the application from the controller (both are apparently possible) and I'll be good to go.

O.K. so lets say it's not mentioned anywhere on the game ( The force unleashed ultimate sith edition for MAC) that you have to play with an X-BOX 360 gamepad. And that of course you have one of an other brand on hand that says MAC & PC compatible.

And that as you plug it in it does not work of course. Then you go through the entire Internet to get it to work by installing around 6 or 7 program like and including Tattiebogle and Gamepad companion. Whithout of course any results.

Oh what to do ? Write to Aspyr who tells you to get a wired X-Box 360 gamepad. But still not working and to top it off. Because you never should have installed any drivers or other to make their not working game "WORK". Aspyr tells you off

Back to square one, delete the drivers, but they hide in so many places. How to know that you get rid of every bits of it ? Whit result, your firmware version is still modified...

Now how to undo this with deleting every bit of the drivers and maybe with the help of time machine witch I'd rather not. Unless there is a specific solution to put back something for the gamepad only. This is due to so many things installed on my macbook since.

Thanks for your help.

Pretty cool but, can you also do this with a PS3 controller as well?
